Welcome to DumbMedicine. We’re a personal development blog that’s just starting to build its foundations. To quote one of my favorite bloggers, Glen Allsopp, we’re trying to get signal and not make noise. Another way of putting this is I’m trying to give you valuable information, not crap.

Who I am

I’m a student of personal development. I’m making this blog to better myself, but also to share my knowledge with you. It’s a bit selfish of me because this is helping me out a lot so I feel like I have to share.

What I’ll do for you is save you time to look up personal development strategies yourself. I’ve already done it for myself and I might as well share it with you.

My journey

I’m from a very small town and the only thing I could picture doing in high school was going to college. I went to one of the top colleges in the US and that’s where I believe I really found myself. I went onward to pharmacy school to become a pharmacist, but I don’t want to only be a pharmacist.

I want to encourage others to find themselves. Many people live by their inhibitions, some of which may be poorly placed. To help you find yourself, I want to encourage openness and a willingness to try new things. I believe every person should be living how they want to live as long as it doesn’t impede the rights of others.

My principles

I have several principles I live by that have worked for me, and I hope they will help you.

  • Don’t let other people define who you are
  • Build your relationships with the long term in mind
  • Be the person you want to be
  • Never be afraid to start something new, make a new friend, or share an experience

I’m here to share my experiences and I hope that you will share yours. Let me help you be who you want to be.
